Title: Look for NEXUS 7 USB PORT AUDIO JACK CIRCUIT BOARD
Post by: Crikker on August 29, 2013, 05:25:34 PM: I "inherited" a Nexus Asus 7 tablet from my son. The downside is, the USB jack pins (?) are bent and won't allow the cable to connect so it can't be charged. I've been able to remove the back cover and pull the USB/headphone jack off. Now, where can I get a replacement? Is there a Nexus 7 replacement store somewhere that would have these? I know that sounds dumb but where do I start? Thanks.

When I plugged in the usb, I got a picture of a battery then a battery charging from top to bottom (?), then the screen went blank. Is this normal and is it still charging?

Post by: matt on September 04, 2013, 08:06:23 PM: Leave it charging a while and see. If the battery is completely depleted it may not boot properly, but there are ways to get past that.

When the nexus is off and connected to a power source, yes this is normal. As far as it taking 4 hours or a long time,I find USB much slower than an electrical outlet.
