Title: Using tags in gallery
Post by: deadhead18 on September 02, 2013, 04:24:13 PM
I have a lot of photos and screen shots accumulating in Gallery and it seems that I should be able to create albums in Gallery using tags. I have tried all sorts of options but can't work out how to do this. Manual doesn't help. Any kind soul out there know how to achieve this goal. Not too techy in answer, please.

No unfortunately you cannot. I would you install a file explorer from the Play store, there are several good ones like Solid Explorer, ES File Explorer and File Manager. Then simply create a folder, cut and paste your pictures/photos to that folder or folders.

Hope that helps.

Glad it helped. Google are convinced that a file explorer isn't needed with Android and that makes the OS simpler but I'm a file explorer advocate and believe it's an important feature missing from Android. With all the junk many applications still leave on our storage and the limited storage of a Nexus devices a file explorer helps me micromanage my devices storage and thankfully we have the Play store with many great file explorers to choose from.
