Title: Sleep-Wake Mode
Post by: gp123 on September 15, 2013, 09:33:01 AM
Just received a new case (Poetic Slimline) for N7(2013). The case contains an instant sleep-wake feature when cover is closed-open. Very convenient feature, but works reliably only if wifi is enabled upon sleep ??  Anyone know what "wifi-on" has to do with any of this?.

Nice to see that N7 and wifi can hibernate with no appreciable battery discharge (lost 1-2% charge during 12 hour hibernate).

I have not observed this with my Moko case.

Mine's on order so will can't comment on this but I hope this isn't the case because I prefer Wi-Fi to stay on for email, Gmail, Google+ notifications...

This is a known bug in the 2013 Nexus 7. If wifi is off (or not connected) and bluetooth is off (or not connected) then the magnetic case will have take as long as 15+ seconds to power on. Apparently Google is working on it.

I'm not having this issue... Got my Poetic Slim last week and have no problems with my Nexus 7 waking or sleeping with Wi-Fi enabled??
