I like the idea of rooting the device, but for me I just don't see much benefit from doing it, except for maybe enabling UMS.  Plus though the likelihood of bricking it is slim I still don't want to take that chance.

Hi,
I know the N7 is a great device...nearly (IMHO).  I would like to remove the 'search/mic' on home page & a few of the 'built in apps' that I will never use & maybe include the ability to link to a usb drive.  Anyway, tempted as I am to try 'rooting', I will wait for a definitive guide that has been tested & proven  :)
