Title: How to Move a Widget?
Post by: radiocycle on July 23, 2012, 04:40:49 PM
I like this 4.1.1 system but sometimes it's a little harder than the older versions I think.  I have my HD time/weather widget on the most left-hand home screen but how can I move it to the main (center) screen?  Seems like I used to be able to just long press it and move it, or press anywhere on the blank screen and a menu would come up and it listed Widgets.  But when I do that with my N7 only Gallery or Wallpapers appears.
Sorry for such an elementary question, but it's buggin' me big time...

To put an app or widget on a page, open your list of apps using the app button at the center of the bottom of your home screen.  Notice at the top that you can choose between viewing apps or Widgets.  Locate the one you want to place on the page and press and hold it.  The home page you were on will then appear.  Move the selected item to the desired location, then release it.

Wow, thanks pduffer!  It still took me a bunch of foolin' around but using your method I finally got it right.  Is this all in the guide?

Not sure if it's in the guide or not, but imagine it would be.
