Title: Back Up using TWRP
Post by: dominic on November 01, 2013, 10:28:18 AM
I tried to back up on an external flash drive using TWRP but after the back up completed I can not see any file on the flash drive on the nexus or PC
Any ideas what could go wrong ?

As an alternative, make a local TWRP backup and use the "adb push" command to send the backup to your computer for external storage and then delete the local backup on your tablet. If you are unfamiliar with using adb, you can use Mark Skippen's toolkit to safely transfer files to and from your tablet. I advise against using the Windows file manager to move the files, because the tablet connects to a Windows computer by MTP which is unreliable for large file transfer.

Thank You for you explanation.
After a full backup using Mark Skippen's tool kit, is it safe for me to copy the full backup from the PC to a flash drive ?

Yes, just remember that Mark's toolkit offers backup options for Apps + data, Sdcard content, and TWRP or CWM so make sure that you copy all of the backup folders that you need to the external USB drive.
