Just checked Chrome on my Nexus 7 (2013) and I found that I have dozens of open tabs. Not sure how I accumulated all of these but I'd like to close them without x-ing out each one individually. Could not find an option for this. Seems absurd. Is there an easy way to "close all tabs"?

Click on the tab number, then on the menu button (3 dots on top of each other) in the top right and select close all tabs.

Unable to do this with N7

Doesn't work for me, either. If the tabs are web pages and not the default screen, you can open the last one and hit the back button repeatedly on the bottom to close each tab.

Sure that works on the smartphone version of Chrome, but not on the Tablet version of Chrome. The tablet version lacks this functionality, and each tab has to be closed individually.

Apologies, didn't realise it was different.
Amazing what you get used to but forget.

I close each tab individually in my Nexus 7 2nd gen.

Of course that will work -- but not much fun when you have a dozen open tabs and large fingers. Hence my question.
