Title: Android device manager disabled
Post by: matt on November 09, 2013, 12:23:45 AM
A silent update to Google play services has disabled this feature. To enable, go to settings, security, device administrators and reactivate.

If your device is lost or stolen you can locate, ring, or wipe it from the web site.

I checked my devices after the update and they were all still enabled.

My brother's tab was stolen last night. I don't think this or any other app will locate a WiFi only device unless it turns on and connects to a known network. Might be useful at a school.

Guess I'll have him troll forums for someone asking how to bypass the pin or factory reset from stock recovery. Bummer.
