I find it odd that this is missing when it woks on all other Android and tablet devices! I know there are hacks, but come on Google!
-
I would hope that Google gives us home screen rotation in a future update.
-
Don't have ever to miss it. Just download Ultimate Rotate app from Google Play. Little laggy at times but gets the job done.
-
Ya, I voted 'a lot' but I went with Ultimate Rotate as my first app. So actually I *would* miss it 'a lot'...

I tried Ultimate Rotate and I didn't care for the overhead, plus isn't it like $3 to use after 7 days? Honestly it's not a huge deal for me, but if I ever find a good landscape dock that uses the Pogo pins I'll probably look again so the home screen isn't sideways when docked.

There is a setting that allows auto rotation for apps that permit it (some do not, usually games). User Guide P. 14. Sincere question: Am I missing the point?
-
I must be missing the point too then because apps that autorotate usually need to be that at and I prefer a free customizable launcher that can rotate my homescreen rather than me paying for an app that doesn't good any interest to me.
-
With you on this JayJ. Things that need to rotate do, can live with locked portrait mode on Home. I don't spend a lot of time on that screen. ;)
-
Nova launcher was one of the first apps I installed and haven't looked back.
-
Thanks, Frank. I hadn't seen that app. Might give it a try.
-
If your Nexus 7 is rooted, you can safely edit your build.prop file to fix your home screen rotation and eliminate overhead and cost of a rotation app. I will try to find time to post a tutorial later today. ;)

That would be very cool, S. Prime.
