Title: Authentication Problem
Post by: Rabbit on December 11, 2013, 08:34:20 PM
My Nexus 7 has worked beautifully in the past with my NetGear N600 Router but today I'm having "Authentication" problems.  Router is still working fine with our 2 MacBooks so the problem doesn't seem to be the router.
"NetGear2" shows up on the screen showing full bars, the lock symbol and "Authentication problem."
When I touch the "reverse arrows/yin/yang like symbol"  it says:
"Press the WiFi Protected Setup button on your router.  It may be called 'WPS' or contain the symbol that I described as looking somewhat like a yin/yang.
PROBLEM:  I can't any button on the N600 that matches those descriptions.
Can anyone help me get my Nexus back??
Thanks,
Rob

According to the manual, the Illuminated Netgear logo on the top of the device is the WiFi Protected Setup button.

rasmith,
How easy was that?!   Couldn't find my manual and never occurred to me that it might be that huge blue button.
Thank you!   And Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours.
("Another words", YES, that did it!!! :D :D
