Title: Grouping Apps in the App windows
Post by: dkperez on December 19, 2013, 12:07:08 PM
I KNOW this has to be in here somewhere, but I can't find anything even close when I search........

Nexus 7.  "old" version.  Running 4.4.2

I have a home page with some icons.  I have some home pages that are empty......  HOW do I get rid of the empty pages?

I hit the Apps button and I have pages of apps.  HOW do I group them?  NOT put them on the home page, just take all the
games and put them in a folder called GAMES in the apps pages.  Then, if I want them on the home page I'll move them there...

I figured out how to do all this on my Galaxy SII, but I can't find a button to create a folder on the Nexus...

So, HOW do I do this?

I found a sort-of oblique reference to creating folders for apps.  It said I needed Nova or Apex launcher...

I can't figure out how to create a folder for apps in either of them either.

I've got apex on an old tablet, deleted all but one home screen. If I want to group apps, I do it on a home screen by dropping one on another creating a folder that can be named. There may be a launcher that groups the app drawer but I haven't needed it. So on one home screen I've got a util folder with 12, games with 8, etc. On the stock launcher.
