I have two pop3 email accounts with talktalk. I regularly receive emails but appear not to be able send any. When I send an email, "sending email" appears and the message appears in the sent box, however, the recipient does not receive them. Any suggestions? Also I have over a hundred emails in Trash, how do I empty this folder?
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Below is a link to the Pop3 and IMAP settings for Talktalk. From your brief description, I would guess that your out going server is not configured with the correct server name, user name, or password. Remember the out going server requires a user name and password, just as the in coming server does.

Many thanks for your response, I will check the outgoing server details. Unfortunately, the link you mention did not appear with your message so I'm not sure where to look.

Apologies, here is the link to the email settings.

Many thanks for the link. I have checked the settings and they concur with those listed so the mystery remains!
Still don't know how to empty the trash file though.

One way to empty the trash folder is to go to the folder and open each email in turn and then click the delete icon for that item. Slow but it works.
