Title: Battery life
Post by: BobT on January 21, 2014, 06:56:31 PM
my Nexus 7 is a year old purchased December 2012 and its been great up till about two weeks ago when the battery started to require more than the average recharges then looking at the battery data it was stuck at 3d 19h 27m and would not take a charge then it eventually stopped altogether.

Any thoughts on what may have happened is it s manufacturing defect?

Have you tried other cords or chargers?

Yes, good idea. Also try the nexus charger on another device if possible.  It will have to be something with a compatible socket... but most new cell phones will be that way.
And, you can also try using the charging cord only from USB on your laptop to the Nexus.  In other words it could be the Nexus or it could be the charger...
Good luck!

I had a similar problem with my NEXUS 7.  It turned out the problem was that the charger was putting out little in the way of power to recharge the battery.

I picked up a NEXUS compatible charger (labeled as such) at Wal-Mart.  I have used this for 2 months and my battery life has returned to about the level it was when new.
