Sorry if i shouldnt be starting a new thread for this but i need advice. I have a nexus 7 with a smashed screen. I know its easy to replace but i cant really be bothered. I also want a new android tv box i have an ouya and a gbox m3 but theyre not especially great. My nexus 7 on my tv would be far better. So what i want to do is remove the screen and just use a slimport adapter with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Will this work.

Nice idea! Is it the LCD screen or just the digitizer broken?

From your xda post, its the digitizer. I wonder if you could pull its ribbon connector and try a Bluetooth kB before getting the slimport cable. Or possibly deleting the touch driver, difficult with the crack registering a constant touch. If you reboot does that clear up?

If you could create a null driver, maybe it could be flashed with adb/fastboot.

Thanks for the reply, I broke part of the connector trying to disconnect the screen. Lol. I already had fastboot enabled with root. A long story cut short I bricked me device used wugfresh root tool kit set it to remove root and flash stock android on a soft bricked tablet and the constant touch is gone. (I was just barely able to use a USB mouse with otg cable)
