Title: Why is New Nexus 7 Being Sold with Jelly Bean 4.3 OS
Post by: Scriv13 on February 27, 2014, 11:15:57 AM
Does anyone know why the new Nexus 7 2 is being sold with the Jelly Bean 4.3 OS rather than the latest KitKat 4.42

I bet that Asus has not updated the basic install. In any event, after setup you should have the OTA update to 4.4.2 available. I am not sure if it is a single update or if you will have 2 OTA's to reach 4.4.2.

Thanks S Prime.

It's a bit odd isn't it, even the Google Play store are quoting that the new Nexus 7 "Comes with the latest version of Android, Jelly Bean 4.3".

I have a 1st generation Nexus 7 and even that is on KitKat 4.4.2
