So I just picked up a 2013 nexus 7lte from Verizon cheap. I wanted their device and service because my job takes me into weird rural areas. However, the "stock" device won't allow downgrades into 3g >:( Because it was such a good deal, i picked it up and will see how well this goes! I've searched around, but I suppose their release was so recent that nobody has discussed the issue... Hopefully, I won't need it, but it would be nice to have it to fall back on if my unique circumstances demand it.
My weird question: is there any radical solution that will allow me to enable 3g if I need it? Or is it a hardware constraint, rather than a software lock?
