Title: N7 hangs on getting ip address
Post by: corystes on April 04, 2014, 03:34:19 AM
Too often when connecting by wifi to my router my nexus hangs on 'getting ip address'.  Sometimes switching wifi off and on again helps but not often.  Anything that can be done to get over this?  There is a PC connected by cable and a laptop by wifi, but both these are usually in hibernation when using the nexus.

Start by looking at the type of wireless security that you have on your router, WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc. First disable the wireless security and if the problem is corrected, experiment with various security types until you find one that works. I usually have no problem with WPA2 personal.

Since the problem, seems router based and I'm getting a new router in a few days I'll see what happens with that one.
