Title: Sometimes takes multiple swipes to open home page

Google Nexus 7 turns on but sometimes takes many upward swipes to open home page. I actually give up on occasion. Also occasionally shuts down for no reason even though battery is charged.
any ideas?

I have not used the Nexus Launcher in quite awhile, but I have always pressed the home key to return to the home page. I suggest you provide us a more detailed description of your issues.
