Title: App from Unknown Source is blocked daily
Post by: ljhersh on May 07, 2014, 05:19:45 AM
Each morning, when I start my Nexus 7, I get a message that the installation of an app from an unknown source has been blocked and I can click on either "cancel" or "security settings".  Obviously, I have not given permission for the app to be installed, but I am wondering how to keep this message from greeting me each morning?  The app splash screen behind the "app from unknown source has been blocked" box, appears to have oriental symbols in the title box.  Any ideas on how to stop this app from repeatedly trying to install?

Use a file browser to search for an isolated, unfamiliar ".apk" file with oriental symbols. When you find it, delete it.

You are my hero!  I installed File Manager and was able to find the file and delete it.  I did not realize how much I needed a program like this anyway.  The date of the download corresponds with an evening my screen froze temporarily ... a coincidence ... I think not!   Thanks very much.
