Anybody...?

I haven't yet received the rollout for the 2012. The 2013 has updated, however the bug fixes aren't all that noticeable. WiFi may work better on the 5ghz band but I don't have a router to try it. And the 2012 doesn't do 5gig anyway.

You can sideload if impatient. No need to unlock or root.

Ditto. Upgrade ran smoothly, but I lost root. Regained it with skipsoft.net's unified android toolkit.

Apparently all I had to do was ask... got the OTA last night around 10PM EDT
Too soon to notice any subtle changes, and I haven't seen anything obvious either.
-
...and now we get to try it again for the 4.4.4 update...

Holding my breath, getting weak.

Still having buggy results with the new update on my original Nexus 7. Very laggy, and apps crash. Want Kit Kat back. Lolly pop no working so good for me.

The 5.0.2 update is rolling out now. In the meantime, you can try enabling developer options then force GPU in 2d and limit background apps to four.
When you charge at night don't turn it off, just turn off the screen. The operating system does memory cleanup after midnight but only if the charger is connected. This bug is fixed on 5.0.2.

If you really want to go back to KitKat just download SkipSoft's Unified Android Toolkit. The toolkit will walk you through downloading the factory image you want and installing it on your Nexus 7. It even helps you backup and restore your apps and data.
