Title: transfer pictures to Nexus 7
Post by: lec on July 27, 2012, 04:46:29 AM
I've tried via USB to my computer and using NFC between my galaxy nexus and the nexus 7--not one picture has transferred. How do I do it? Help!!

I have not used it on my N7, but Photo Transfer App from Google Play works from my Android phone to iPad and other devices

I haven't tried NFC, but hooking in with USB should be the most straight forward answer. Are you using Windows? If so, should be able to access the Nexus from My Computer like any other device, then just drag and drop photos.

Photo transfer works great from my galaxy nexus. Next I'll try the USB again. Thank you both--

I have the same problem. i just got my nexus yesterday and i want to upload some pictures i have on my comp to the N7. I used the USB attachment route and opened up Computer and then the N7 folder. However, the simple drag and drop technique isn't working.

nevermind...i dont know why but all of a sudden it started allowing me to transfer. i have no idea why...i did nothing but let it sit on the plug for over 30 minutes. but hey...it works haha.

Try Anysend from Google Play, a real easy network file transfer tool.

Swyped from my AOKP powered GT-I9100

It probably just needed to install some drivers

I wonder if this sort of thing is an N7 quirk. I've had similar experiences with other functions - something does not work, does not work, and still does not work and then suddenly, magically, it works. It's kind of like the unit has to take some time to figure itself out. Of course it simply cannot be a PEBCAK... Oh. Smart lass wanted.

OK, I've managed to transfer a folder of JPGs to my Nexus internal storage. How do I look at them. Any suggestions?

Never mind. Discovered QuickPic (free app) and it does exactly what I was looking for.

You could have used the stock Gallery app but I use QuickPic too, great app.
