Kris...go to settings...back up and re set...then back to factory settings...fresh out of the box....I'm using 4.4.4 and this is how I'd do it...I've not rooted...good luck...

its rooted with superuser installed and a custom ROM, I have tried following several on-line guides but I can not get any to work. getting a little irritated now lol.

You'll need: a computer, correct drivers, adb and fastboot, stock factory image. Test adb and fastboot with 'adb devices' and 'fastboot devices' with tablet in recovery mode. Unzip the factory image twice in the same directory as adb etc. And run the flash_all.bat file
Or you can try the wugfresh or nexus root toolkits if you need the hand holding. They are installed to a computer and automate the process somewhat. You'll need to pick the right firmware, see the guides.
