Title: Deleting Pics and Videos from Gallery
Post by: Rabbit on October 09, 2014, 09:37:29 AM
Asked this question a while back and got one response that addressed the issue IF Kitkat had been installed, which it hasn't.
Still trying to figure out how to delete pics and video's from Gallery on my Gen.1 Nexus 7.
Anyone?

Long press on photo doesn't give you trash can icon? Don't remember pre kk, sorry.

First thing I tried.  No, long press doesn't do it, but thanks for taking the time to write.

Okay, I just tried on 2 jellybean devices. Hold down your finger on the pic until the blue bar appears up top. If there is no trash can icon press the vertical 3 dots upper right corner. From drop list press delete.

If it still doesn't work, factory reset. Or if rooted clear dalvik cache. (All the apps are optimized to run on your hardware and put there as Dex files)

2nd option, use a file explorer to delete them.

If the pics are synced from g+ or picassa you'll need to delete them from those apps.

Thanks to all who responded.  Discovered that pictures were on Picasa as well as the Gallery so I just wiped the Gallery clean and am working from Picasa.  Probably a better way to have done it, but that worked for now.
