Title: Installing Factory Image on Google Asus Nexus 7
Post by: eport on October 25, 2014, 11:27:00 AM
Is there an uncomplicated way to install a new factory image on a Google Asus Nexus 7?  The tablet in question has had several people erasing data and rooting it, so that nothing now works, other than the Google circles rotating around one another. We did manage to get to Recovery Mode and erase the data, following instructions we found online, but now Recovery Mode is also unavailable. I don't know what generation this tablet is, but the model number of it is ME370T.

Skipsoft's Unified Android Toolkit offers an option to download and flash a factory ROM. You can get it here:

There's a possibility that it is a misbehaving app causing the boot loop since it's at the circle animation. Try getting into safe mode by holding the volume down button when you see the google logo until boot hopefully completes. About 1 1/2 minutes on mine.
