Title: Lollipop 5.0 OTA Update Question
Post by: fkbsar on November 02, 2014, 05:02:16 AM
Is there a way to turn off the OTA updates for the OS  on the Nexus 7 Second Generation until I am ready?  I have a stock Nexus and I am playing a game intensely that is not ready for the upgrade.

You will receive a notification that an update is available, you don't have to install it until you are ready. There will be a staggered rollout and a scramble to update apps so I'll wait a bit myself.

Do you have to have to be on Android 4.4 to accept 5.0? I still have the earlier Android version installed.

Historically, you have to have the prior version installed to upgrade to the new version, so I don't look for lollipop to be any different. Your other option would be to do a clean install of lollipop.
