Title: Android 5.0 Lollipop
Post by: CBers on November 21, 2014, 04:51:49 PM
Updated my Nexus 5, 7 and 10 today to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Didn't use the OTAs, but took a Titanium backup, flashed stock Android via WugFresh's NRT, rooted and then restored from the Titanium backup.

Had a few issues where the toolkit couldn't see the device in adb and fastboot modes, but all sorted after removing drivers etc.

So, Lollipops all round.

Did you try the new chain fire autoroot beta that does not require a modified kernel, or flash a pre-rooted image? One of the new changes is that an ota will fail if any part of system is changed so flashing new builds or back to stock may be necessary.

No, as I have unlocked and rooted many times using wugfresh's toolkit.

I have noticed that since flashing Lollipop, the storage figures are being reported incorrectly.

I have a 32Gb Nexus 5 and 10,  but rather than 26Gb in size (after allowing for the OS), they're only 12Gb.

Can't seem to find a fix, even after doing 2 factory reset.

CBers.   Known fault :(  I had the same issue  but found out AFTER I'd done a full apps re load.   A clear cache then a factory reset should fix it

Clear cache?

I've done 2 factory resets with it being corrected.

limbot is correct, I had to factory reset all of my Nexus tablets after a full OS load to upgrade to Android 5, to show the full capacity of internal storage.

Thanks matt, I might give that a go.

@S.Prime - already done a couple of factory resets.

Having the same issue on my Nexus 10 as well.

Thanks matt, that sorted out my Nexus 10, although I wiped the data partition via TWRP  ;D

I'll do the same to my Nexus 5 at the weekend.

@CBers, I used the WugFresh to flash the stock Android 5, but I did the factory reset on the initial restart and then used Titanium and only restored a few random apps with data after the reset. Just curious if the point that you factory reset is a factor or if a full Titanium restore has an effect?

Not sure, but I performed the same process on all 3 devices and had the same issue.

Wug's toolkit does tell you to do a factory reset, but I've never had an issue before, so didn't do it.
