Can someone please help? What is happening to my Nexus 7?

Anyone? The video is on YouTube, but no one has come up with a reason... Yet. Cheers.

Looks like the volume button is stuck, putting the tab in recovery mode on boot and cycling thru options. Could be something stuck in the button or the switch failing? Spill a drink on it?
-
That's what I thought but the volume buttons move freely. Nothing has been split, and the unit hasn't been dropped. It was simply turned on one day and when it to this mode.

Try holding the power button down for a whole minute, hard boot. Should rule out software glitch before hardware. Is the warranty still good?
-
Holding down the power button for a minute is turning the screen on and off. Nothing else happens unfortunately.
I'm still trying to trace the box. I'm not sure how long the warranty runs for, but I've had it from new for a little over a year now.

Try pressing the volume down button a few dozen times to unstick it. Do you feel a slight click?
-
I've slightly tap the volume button to see if it's stuck, but it's not. There is the normal click, only slightly, when I push up and down.
Every option has failed and sadly I'm still left with this problem :-(
