Title: iView-3500STB And The Nexus 7
Post by: Jim1348 on January 27, 2015, 06:25:31 PM
Does anybody happen to know if I record over the air content from an Iview-3500STB onto a San Disk 32 GB dual USB drive, if the Nexus 7 can play those recordings?

Well, I've got the I view, and a thumb drive, and a nexus. I like to let the TV do the videos. The sandisk may be fast enough to capture hidef but a hard drive is less problematic. At 8 gig/hr you might get a couple movies on it but it's wasted on a little screen.

I did try this tonight, but I had no luck.  I am now wondering if the Nexus 7 (1st Generation) is incompatible with the San Disk dual USB drive.  Possibly, if it was rooted, it would work with OTG (On The Go) devices.

Try nexus media importer, or I think es file explorer can mount a USB drive, tap the vid file and choose open with MX player? You need an otg adapter.
