Title: How to stream music from the web
Post by: jpaxtons on July 31, 2012, 11:23:21 AM
Greetings!

Just got my Nexus 7. Great device.
I own a lot of music mp3 files stored in the 'cloud' at http://thedce.com (http://thedce.com) (check it out)

When on my PC (WIN) I can click and send a playlist and Windows Media Player opens and plays. (using most any browser, usually Chrome)

Seems I should be able to do something similar on the Nexus 7, but so far, no joy.

I tried the included player which although selected, seems to ignore the m3u file. Tried a couple of other APPS, including "Just Playlists", still no luck.

Could someone tell me how to accomplish this?
Thanks and have fun,
Paxton

Mxplayer I believe will handle your needs.

MortPlayer Music will support your m3u file and play the play list. It is available on Google Play at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.stohelit.folderplayer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.stohelit.folderplayer)

I was trying to stream audio from a radio station that is online.  I couldn't get Mort Player to find the m3u file which the station sent to the Download folder, but the app "A Online Radio" allows you to enter the URL and it worked fine.
