Title: Micro USB Port Question
Post by: sgitlin on August 06, 2012, 09:40:22 AM
Can the micro usb port accept a card reader input?

I would like to be able to take an SD card from my camera, put it into a usb card reader and be able to view and store the pictures on the Nexus 7.  Is this possible in its initial configuration?

Thanks in advance,

Stew

No, you'll have to root your N7 and get a USB-OTG cable to connect to a card reader, as I understand it.

As birdastrompgman said your N7 will need to be rooted you will also need an app from the Play store called Stickmount by Chainfire.

Please do search the forum before asking questions that have been answered, thanks.
