Title: Benefits of rooting your tablet?

My Droid Razr is rooted, and because it is locked down with a ton of Bloatware, I can easily see the benefits of rooting it. However, the Nexus 7 comes with pretty much 0 bloatware (you can remove pretty much all of it) and speed is not an issue at all. What are the benefits of rooting it to those who have theirs rooted? Where did you get your ROMs and do they work smoothly?
