I have installed ES File explorer and a Skydrive browser. I have been able to play films from my skydrive, but am confused as to whether they streamed or downloaded. I also accessed them through ES File explorer.
If I go to Data usage is shows that ES File Explorer is using 2.6GB (skydrive browser only 290 mb). However, my app section says I have no downloads and if I go to the storage section it says Apps are only using 2 gb and think that is mainly maps for a satnav App I have.
Is data usage not related to storage at all? If not - what does the 2.6gb in ES file explorer mean?
Thanks

Data usage is not storage. It is the amount transmitted over WiFi. I guess this is to help people whose Internet service has monthly limits on the amount of upload and download.
