Title: A Big Blank Spot On My Home Screen
Post by: radiocycle on August 13, 2012, 02:04:41 PM
Anyone seen this?  I uninstalled beautiful widgets app and now I have a huge white rectangle where the clock widget lived.  I tried rebooting but no change.  Any idea how to get rid of that blank spot??

*update:  This is REALLY getting annoying!  I downloaded 'no wallpaper' app thinking it might over-write the big white box, but no luck.  Now I have black screen with a big white window.... HELP someone!

I suggest you back up your settings and do a factory reset.  I have done this several times after screwing things up, and it is surprisingly simple to do.

Ah, thanks chaikenj!  I was about to try that but first I reinstalled BW and then it let me move the big blank spot to the trash.  BW's support was not all that helpful I'd have to say.  But all is good now.  That was a little scary....

btw, how did you 'back up your settings'??

Google backs up your settings if you are connected and logged in.  If you ever do a factory reset, upon restarting your "clean" N7 you have to know to use the same Google account and to accept the kind offer of restoring the settings.
