Title: N7 backup via wireless?
Post by: martyh on August 14, 2012, 12:08:04 AM
Hello,

Since the N7 doesn't have a card or stick port, I was wondering if it was possible to backup the N7, via wireless, to a PC?

Will WiFi File Transfer Pro allow me to do this, even possibly in conjunction with another app? I'm new to Android -- I've only owned the N7 for a few days -- so I don't have familiarity with all of the Android capabilities.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
martyh

If you are referencing backing up your personal data (books, music, documents, ect), the answer is yes, along with others. If you are referencing an os backup (nandroid backup) you will have to be rooted.

Also if your n7is rooted you can mount an external hard drive or usb drive with the app StickMount which is available in the play store.

As already stated, you can back up your files, but not your whole system unless you're rooted.

I personally prefer the app called AirDroid.
