Title: New to a forum & the nexus 7

This is the first time I have ever been on a forum. I also just purchased a Nexus 7 and have no idea what I am doing with it. I am sure it will be easy enough to use as all google / android products I have. Pardon my ignorance, I understand you connect over wi fi or blue tooth? I have never done this either, I don't think I have wi fi ability enabled on my laptop? which is relatively new as well. Help will be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum LaUrEn.  How do you connect to the internet with your laptop?  Your Nexus 7 should be able to easily hook up the same way.  You have a home network set up??

Welcome to the forum LaUrEn. Your easiest option for Internet access is a WiFi router. If you can use your laptop without a cable plugged in running from your Internet source,  you will already have one. If you do, from your home screen swipe down from the top and you will see 3 sliders, tap those and you will see WiFi, tap that and you can connect to a WiFi network.
