Title: No sound
Post by: al12345 on August 16, 2012, 02:53:44 PM
Hi

I don't know whats going on with my sound. It occasionally seems to mute both media volume and notifications for no apparent reason. If i reboot im back to normal for a bit, until it goes again.

Ive attached a screen shot and you will see that my volume level is up.

I have one of those magnetic cases that turn the screen off and on, could this be the probelm.

Any help/ideas much appreciated.

Cheers

Alan

Look at the earphone port carefully with a strong light to see if something got stuck in there.

It may be unrelated, but apps like MxPlayer have a built in volume control feature accessed by touching the screen that is independent of the hardware volume buttons and accidentally touching the screen in playback will mute or change the volume level. Try touching your screen in the video or music app and swipe up or down and see if you have a volume feature. MxPlayer drove me crazy until I figured it out.
