Title: Charging N7 Battery
Post by: gp123 on August 21, 2012, 09:15:20 AM
Another dumb question from an N7 newbie

When I power off N7 and charge from wall outlet I see a white "charging" graphic on black screen for a few seconds - then totally black screen.
Is this normal?
How do I know that N7 is fully charged?  How much time from empty to full-charge?

How do I check remaining battery time?

I always charge my N7 from a powered on state, so I am not sure about charging when powered off. To check you battery you can get a general idea naturally by looking at the battery icon at the top of the screen or for a more accurate reading go to settings and tap on Battery.

Yes, it's normal to see a white "charging" graphic on black screen for a few seconds - then totally black screen when charging your powered down N7.

It's not healthy to draw your battery down to empty, so I don't know the time to charge from empty to full-charge. I usually charge with the N7 sleeping (not powered down), so its charging time depends on what's consuming power during sleep.

Yes as bird has said it's normal, if you quickly press the power button the graphic will reappear giving you an idea as to how much charge your N7 has taken and the graphic will show as a solid battery once charging is complete.
