Well as there is a place for introducing myself...
I find myself travelling quite a bit as 'home' is the UK but I currently work in Italy
I tried a cheap Chinese 7" tablet a year or so ago (marketed by Cambridge Science) - android 2.3 - quick enough but clunky and a bit bulky. I didn't want on ipPad (honest) as it is too big (and too expensive) - nothing against IOS as I like my iPhone 4 very much
Anyway when the Nexus 7 came out I couldn't resist. I've had it a week and I am very pleased so far. Hope the cheap keyboard case I bought my Cambridge one works with this - I just need the right cable (searching for that info led me here in the first place)
Pity there is no Micro SD or HDMI, but as I didn't intend it as first and foremost a media machine that is no big deal.
Anyway back to playing with my new toy....

Welcome Tony! Yes, the Nexus 7 makes a great traveling companion. Just the right size and perfect for movies, games and reading as well as the odd piece of productivity. Make yourself at home here at the forum. There's lots to learn and a lot of nice folks willing to share their knowledge.
