Title: Rube Goldberg's rear-facing camera

My guess is this would be a popular add-on. I know I would sure be interested. Hopefully an app developer will come to the rescue.  ;)

Having used an iPad for both stills and video and having found it barely adequate, clumsy and hard to aim and hold still, I can't imagine how an addon could improve the N7.  It could make it clunky and hard to handle, and goodness knows what potential there could be for battery and perhaps even circuitry problems.

I'll pass.  If god had meant for the Nexus 7 to have a rear-facing camera, he wouldn't have put one on the S III.

Yeah I agree, I don't see the need for a back camera let alone a webcam?
As above, I have an S2 and perfectly happy with the camera on that. I couldn't imagine taking pics with the N7.

I'll sure most N7 owners will have a phone capable of taking pictures on the fly whether it be a smartphone or not, failing that a point and click camera is far more portable IMO.

The reason I voted yes is because there are now sat-nav apps that make use of them by overlaying the directions and turns on the camera view of where you are. I have seen sat-nav apps that also place a car  in the screen with a follow me numberplate that indicates ahead of turns, all of which could make life simple when travelling somewhere new.
