Would like to mute the N7 speakers and play sound through my headphones. Thought N7 would work like every other device I've used -- plug in headphone jack and sound transfers. Does not happen with my N7!
Is there an option somewhere I' should have set ???
Sorry for the dumb new-user questions, but blame it on Google for their absurd "non-documentation" to accompany such a fine product.

Are you sure your pushing the headphones in all the way?
Or maybe the headphones you are using aren't compatible with the N7. There was a post on here about headphones not working with the N7, do you have another pair you could try? I plug in earphones I use (Dr Dre Beats Audio, Sony MDR-EX085, or Sennheiser CX300 II) and it mutes the external speaker to play over the earphones.

My Skullcandy, over-the-ear cans work most EXCELLENT with the N7!

look in user tips. Have to push plug in very hard, feel click. make sure correct plug size, not the very small mini one!
