Title: Another Hello

My user name slightly reflects my history. I have been a electronics/computer tech from the mid sixties. Cut my computer teeth on DEC PDP-11 family minis in the seventies, built a forth based machine with a Z-80 CPU, a whopping 56K of RAM, and a couple of obsolete 5 1/4 floppies. Built several PCs running variously, MS-DOS, OS2, Windows 3.xx, 95, 98, 2000, NT4, XP, 7, and 8(beta). Started playing with android by buying a Nook e-reader, rooting it and installing CYANOGEN(mod). Ran that to get a feel for the android OS and just bought a stock Nexus 7 two days ago. Looking forward to learning a lot from it and the other members of this forum. Hope this old dog can learn some new tricks. I'm 65

Welcome to the Nexus 7 Forums, sounds like you have some serious PC experience and some android experience too....I think you'll fit in a treat here...;)

Welcome to the forum antiquegeek. I have actually seen some 5 1/4 disks. I bet Linux brings back some DOS memories.
