As part of an update to their 'Google Search' app, the 'Google Now' functionality has been tweaked to include some new cards and options. First up is the new 'Public Safety' card which alerts users with emergency messages such as storm warnings, earthquakes or flooding. Next up is an improvement to the Sports card, which now allows you to choose from 140 pro soccer, baseball, basketball and hockey clubs to inform you of their games and scores. Finally, a 'Movies' card has been added providing support for movie listing information such as time and location and even the ability to suggest a movie on your 'movie day' once it learns your schedule or to pop up when you're near a theater. One final addition to the 'Google Now' functionality is support in the app for Korea. It's good to see Google continuing to expand and improve the functionality of 'Google Now'. We're sure there's lots of great features still to come as this technology continues to mature. The changes should be rolling out in an OTA update or you can grab it manually at the Google Play Store at the link below.
