Should be interesting to see if it is true. It would be good if it is in order to combat the 'rumored' iPad Mini with 3g that some think will be introduced next month.

Personally I don't think it'll get a name change, it'll just be the Nexus 7 3G or LTE version?

I agree. For me with a mobile hotspot on my phone my N7 is always connected to the net. I use Tablet Talk also and get all my text,email and phone calls over to my tablet when I am on it.

Could agree with you more, I use a Mi-Fi for my S2 when it's monthly contact data of 1.25GB is running low and the Mi-Fi is also for my Wi-Fi only PS Vita and now my N7.
Having multiple contracts of data is just too much but having the Mi-Fi and only one data plan for multiple devices is much easier to manage.
