Nexus 7 Help / Cannot mark web pages for mobile bookmarks
« on: April 06, 2013, 04:53:27 PM »
When I first got my Nexus7 last year, pages that I was viewing that I wanted to add to my bookmarks were automatically added to my mobile bookmarks, which is where I want them. Then I made the mistake of syncing my desktop bookmarks with my Nexus7 and now no matter what I've tried (including calling Nexus for so-called help) I can't get my mobile bookmarks to appear as a choice when I want to bookmark something. It will only let me choose one of my desktop bookmark folders.

Help! And thanks.

Addendum... I just unsynced everything--not just the bookmarks--and now it's saving to the mobile bookmarks again. Perhaps this is the only way to remedy this?

Nexus 7 Connect (MicroUSB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Pogo Pin) / Re: USB port
« on: September 27, 2012, 10:02:03 AM »
OK, for fear of starting another (unwanted) topic about this, I thought I'd post my question here.

I have the requisite USB OTG cable and to this I attached the card reader that holds my camera card. Then I downloaded the Nexus Media Importer and the accompanying photo viewer. OK. Now I can see my photos on the Nexus7, however I cannot do any file management  functions with the memory card, for example, deleting selected photos or setting up folders.

When I tried copying multiple photos from the card onto my Nexus, the Nexus Media Importer crashed. And when I finally got some photos onto the Nexus and wanted to manage them using ES File Explorer, then ES kept crashing--something it hasn't done with anything else.

Help, please!

All I want to be able to do is upload my photos from the card, and then be able to copy, delete, upload to Shutterfly (or anywhere), organize them, etc.

Is this not possible without rooting the device? It seems like it'd be so simple, but so far it hasn't even been possible!

I have to admit that I'm very wary of rooting my Nexus, since I need it for practical reasons and I don't want it crashing (or dying!) because I've mucked around with it.

Thanks in advance for your help. Much appreciated!
