Nexus 7 Help / Insufficient storage?« on: August 03, 2012, 05:37:08 PM »
Any idea why, when I try to install a 5MB app on my N7 with over 500MB free, I get an "Insufficient storage available" error?
I also tried it with a 2MB app; same thing. 2

My N7 gets warm in one spot after a few minutes of usage; my iPad 2: never. 3
Nexus 7 Help / Voice recognition for naming icon groups?« on: August 02, 2012, 11:53:53 AM »
So grouping app icons is easy; works the same as on the iPad (tap and hold, then drag to another icon or a group). When I open the group, it's named Unnamed Folder. I tap the name and it gives me the keyboard for renaming it. I try to use voice recognition, and it gives me choices for what it thinks I said. I tap the correct one, and ... nothing! I have to use the keyboard to rename the folder.
What am I missing here? 4
Nexus 7 Help / Re: Change device name?« on: August 02, 2012, 11:48:02 AM »
Thanks, but I don't think that's it. The setting there was "Nickname" and was set to Unnamed Device. Dunno where that's supposed to show up; haven't seen it anywhere on my tab (not that I was looking for it).
Anyway, I changed the nickname, but the device name in Kindle Settings is still the same. 5
Nexus 7 Help / Change device name?« on: August 02, 2012, 10:41:20 AM »
According to the Kindle app on my N7, the device name is "[my first name]'s 2nd Android Tablet". How that happened, I have no idea.
How can I change this device name? I've tried googling it, but to no avail. 6
Nexus 7 Audio/Video / Re: Volume through headphones/earphones« on: July 24, 2012, 10:44:52 AM »
I'm getting more than adequate volume. There are lots of variables in this equation. Try different source material, or player app, or headphones, or combinations thereof.

Nexus 7 Help / numeric battery strength indicator?« on: July 18, 2012, 10:58:50 AM »
Hi,
Just got my N7 yesterday. I'm coming to it from a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, and one thing I like about the latter (or is it ICS?) that the N7 doesn't have is a readily available numeric battery strength indicator. Just touch the system icons at the lower right and it pops up immediately with lots of useful info, including battery strength. In Jellybean you have to go several levels into Settings to get numeric battery strength. Is there any way to get an easily accessible numeric battery strength readout on the N7?
