I have tried 3 cases for the new Nexus 7, all from Amazon.
Poetic Slimbook - stiffener in spine makes it so rigid that it's difficult to fold it open like a book, stylus loop is on the back not side, tablet tends to work itself out just enough to make swiping difficult (there is no velcro to secure the flap holding the tablet in). The fit is good and everything is easily accessible. Magnetic on/off closure works fine. A little heavy at 5.4 oz.
Poetic Slimline - Nice light case (3.8 oz) and the tablet fits snugly and securely in the frame. The drawbacks to this case are that it offers little protection in a fall, and the magnetic on/off mechanism is unreliable, choosing when it wants to work or not.
Caseology Ultra Slim Fit Leather Multi-Angle Stand Case - Nice case overall, good fit, well made and has velcro to secure the tablet's hold in flap. It folds open nicely because the spine is flexible not righd. It's has no stylus holder but not a big deal. But this case is near useless because access to the power and volume buttons is virtually impossible. The cutout really doesn't expose the buttons.
So there you have it. Three case down and still looking for one that has it all. Any suggestions?

Tons of covers have been starting to come in - whats your choice?
A talk about this started a little with the discovery of the wake/sleep magnetic feature - however, I'm not a fan of the Asus official covers - so what are you guys going with? Anyone else have any good choices?
I have had good results with Caseen folio type cases. Very well made, good prices on Amazon and ebay. Had one for my Transformer and have friends with them on other tablets. Check out what they have here: http://www.caseen.com/Nexus-7_c_52.html
and then shop for what you want on the other sites I mentioned. I just order one for my Nexus 7.
Ya know, my only problem with those cases is that it looks like there is a little cut-out for the camera. I have a case with a cut-out for the camdamera and so the case is cut to just fit the screen. Therefore, whenever I want to swipe down to check notifications, the case gets in the way. I have to work at getting my fat finger high enough, by pushing up on the case, to drag the notifications down. IMHO, they should just cut the inside of the case to a larger overall circumference so that you can more easily swipe down from the top of the screen...
As I look at the pictures on that link you provide, it does look like maybe the have made a 'notch' where the camera is so that you could fit your finger there without much trouble; that would be a lot better...

I have to revise my assessment of the Caseen case. They've changed it. I bought another one for my wife, and while they've changed the camera cutout so the navigation pull down is easier, you now have to force the tablet into the case and the cover doesn't close so the magnet closure is useless. I bought it on Amazon. I called Caseen to see if they would swap it for a good one and they refused, so back to Amazon it goes. I'll look for another brand for a case. Too bad, all my previous Caseen cases were very good.

I just found out about Bobj Rugged Case for Nexus 7. Has anybody here tried one of these yet? It looks like it might slip on and off a little bit quicker than the OtterBox I tried this weekend!

It's an excellent case. Very protective. If you have a Nexus #G be sure to get the one with the cutouts in the right place.

My wife got a Nexus 7 and set it up on a separate Google account. We decided to add my account to her device and delete her original one. So far so good. But if I log into Google Play with my account, which should now have both Nexus 7s appear, there is only one. Looking in the settings on the play store, only one shows up. If I choose to get an app from the play store from the web interface, how will I direct it to one or the other? We don't necessarily want it to go to both.

"these cases are military grade"
Exactly what does that mean? There is no MILSPEC for tablet cases.

Can anybody with a 3G N7 confirm whether 3G can be turned off? I'm not convince it can't be and I'm also not convince Google customer service know what they are taking about!
The problem isn't that it can't be turned off. The problem is it turns itself on again for no apparent reason. It appears to be a common issue for many users.

Thanks to both of you. I have found several widgets that will do it. I asked the question because Google tech support said there was no way. I think the device side of Google needs a lot of work.

Is there some way to turn off the 3G and still be able to use wifi? I would like the assurance that I'm not wasting any of my limited 3G data plan where there is wifi. Airplane mode kills both 3G and wifi so that doesn't do it. I could just remove and replace the SIM card, but that's painful to do all the time. Is there no switch in settings to toggle 3G?

Depends how rugged a case you need. I got a silicone one that's pretty protective on ebay for under $5 delivered.
