Nexus 7 General Discussion / Recharging
« on: February 28, 2013, 04:46:05 PM »
Hi there . This may be a very basic question but...

I use my nexus to pay video on the train for 3 hrs a day. So use abotu 25% battery charge. I am in the habit of leaving plugged into the computer to recharge overnight. Is that good practice or shoudl I run the battery down more each time. Does leaving it charging overnight harm it

Many thanks

paul

As usual excellent help thanks. I listen to music on my daily train comute so not in wi fi range. What I wanted was to find a way of holding say 10 cd's that I can change depending on my mod om my pc to my nexus. The external drive sounds good but I was wanting to try and keep something within my Nexuz if that makes sense

Nexus 7 Apps / Re: Is there a need for anti-virus?
« on: January 01, 2013, 11:31:35 PM »
JayJ has always been incredibly helpful on here - so I suppose one has to expect a few irrational responses to comments.

This raises an interesting question though - can one trust as 'safe' apps bought through the Google Play platform - can we assume they have verified anything they 'sell' as being of suitable quality and safe?

Noticed at the newsaents yesterday there are numerous books dealing with how ot operate IPads and now even Kindles bu noting on Nexus 7's.

Have found this site an awesome source of knowledge but always like to have a read through reference books.

Has anyone seen such a book in the shops yet?

Nexus 7 Help / OK - time for my latest dumb question
« on: December 26, 2012, 04:11:29 AM »
 :(
Well the late middle aged idiot strikes again.
Question is no doubt simple to explain. Across the top of my home page above the grey google banner is a long series of boxes with >,M thombtack and movie symbols in these boxes.

Whe I drag down from these I get a long lost of the things I have ne , tings I have bought and downloaded etc. How do I get rid of that long list of suymbols or is it supposedto be there?

All the best for 2013 to the forum contributors and helpers Paul

Well after asking many questions my first chance to help :)
I can confirm you can view items already downloaded. Not sure why but when in Canada I was able to access the google play and download a book but I could not do the same when in Thailand.

I have downloaded both cd's and tv programmes onto my nexus 7.

I have now viewed the tv programmes which were loaded to my personal video section of the Nexus. I now wish to delete them . Pressed the item and it changed colour but then no option to delete it . Can anyone be so kind as to advise how I delete items.
