Come on! Nobody?
I just cannot figure for the life of me why I need to root. I keep seeing people say this room is smooth no lag and all that jazz but my n7 never lags and it's stock out of box and I couldn't imagine it runnin smoother. That being said I guess I'm kinda jealous bc this is my first android anything and I don't get it like did my windows stuff. I would run Ubuntu on my win laptop.is that the equivalent? I always came back to windows anyways. I feel like since this is fine for me keeping it stock then I must not know something. There musty be appsthat I done know about this stock n7 is running fine to run pocket and rascally and chrome every now and then. I'm missing
something and don't know what or is.help

Rooting isn't for everyone. If you're happy with your device stock then there is no reason to root. Some of us just like to tinker with things and push our technology to see what we can get it to do...I always hacked Windows settings, rooted Android, jailbroke my iPad 2, and I just installed Linux Mint Cinnamon on my old Dell XPS M140 laptop that had vista on it...I love technology!

As for the ROM I'm running on my Nexus 7 3g (Tilapia) is XenonHD. It's super smooth, has some nice extras and just overall runs great.

Nexus 7 Apps / Re: Tasker for Nexus 7
« on: February 03, 2013, 09:25:55 AM »
I used to use tasked a lot on my og droid and on my Bionic...bit I found it took longer and longer for me to keep tweaking tasking to fit my needs it became a bother... The price really jumped since I bought it years ago...it was like $2-$3 back then. Check YouTube for some video reviews to see if its really for you

I never turn my GPS or WiFi off and at the end of the day I still have at least 50% battery life...I have the 3g model so data is on too. I am using the JellyBelly ROM which makes some improvement but not that much. You must have a rogue app draining something...notifications running all the time

Why? The first 4g n7 can do both tmobile and AT&T. it's just it was shipped with an AT&T sim...all you have to do is get a tmobile sim & activate it...

Nexus 7 Vs. The Competition / 7 reasons Google's Nexus 7 beats the iPad
« on: December 25, 2012, 07:16:11 AM »
I have an iPad and several Android devices. I consider myself an android guy but I appreciate what an iOS device can offer. I frequent forums in both domains and on each one is threads like this one. "iPads beats android!" "android out-does Apple"....why can people just see BOTH OS's offer so much...we need to embrace them and realize each domain offers something different. I am constantly switching between both of them....AND also my Windows 8 machine! Neither one is "better" then the other....each offers something useful and each has it's faults...
