Nexus 7 General Discussion / Re: Launchers« on: May 29, 2013, 01:31:55 AM »
I'm actually currently using SF Launcher on my N7 at the moment. It's a really sexy Google Now-themed launcher that is as simple as it is pleasant-looking.
It's still very much a Beta launcher and not feature-heavy but I love it. ^_^ 2

I used Tile Launcher for a while because it felt nice and smooth. But now + 1 for Nova Launcher, mostly for its ability to hide apps. (Stock launcher, Y U No do this?)

Nexus 7 General Discussion / Re: What is your Nexus' name?« on: April 21, 2013, 07:22:52 AM »
My Nexus 7's name is Edi after the AI in Mass Effect...
My Galaxy Note 2 is called "Phoenix" because she rose from the ashes of my hard-bricked Note One. Yes. They are both female. 4
Nexus 7 Help / Re: weird issues« on: April 15, 2013, 04:08:55 PM »
Hey guys thanks for your replies. Interestingly enough the widget issue has resolved itself. I tries deleting a couple of widgets and then re-adding them and everything worked smoothly after that. (I only had two per screen but oh well.. )
As for the owner picture I went into my Google plus app and found it had been disables (I'd been logging in via the website) and when I re-enabled it the photo updated. Thanks again for your help guys. 5
Nexus 7 Help / weird issues« on: April 15, 2013, 07:40:32 AM »
So this evening began like no other, until a few strange issues started plaguing my Nexus 7. Firstly the owner picture won't update. of course I've restarted my rooted device (no custom ROMs or anything) but to no effect. secondly I can no longer add Widgets to my homescreen. a few were successful but now whenever I try to add one it takes me to the associated app or link, and then back to the widget/app drawer.
Any ideas? 6
Nexus 7 Help / SSL errors on rooted chrome?« on: January 12, 2013, 04:47:51 AM »
My nexus 7 is rooted with no custom ROMs just stickmount and Chrome UA switcher installed.
But no matter which user agent I chose I get heaps of weird websites getting flagged as having poor certificates, and no "proceed anyway" button either. Sites like the play store and twitter are now inaccessible. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? 7
Nexus 7 Root, Hacks, Mods And Development / Windows 7 on the Nexus 7...?« on: January 02, 2013, 04:18:07 AM »
Oay hear me out, a while back I was successfully able to install Win7 Home Premium on an Asus Eee 701SD which if you know anything about Eee PCs is a REALLY low end 7 inch laptop from '07.
So now I have Edi in front of me, freshly rooted with an unlocked bootloader. In your opinions, would it be possible (at least theoretically) to install Windows 7? What would be the steps/obstacles? Would it be worth it? 8
Nexus 7 Polls / Re: How much do you use your Nexus 7 on a typical day?« on: January 01, 2013, 01:55:28 AM »
After (finally) successfully getting Flash on Edi (without rooting her) she's officially replaced Bluebell, my home laptop.
As a self-confessed gadget addict I was on my laptop all day everyday, but after purchasing Edi off Kogan I've found myself picking up my Eee Pc less and less until now it sits in a sad neglected corner of my desk while my sexy new N7 is never out of my hands. ... ... Now I feel kinda bad... 9
Nexus 7 Polls / Re: Do you use a screen protector?« on: January 01, 2013, 01:50:10 AM »
I bought a case that came with a free screen protector...
The SP lasted all of about 2 minutes (which was made up of trying to get it all aligned and free of bubbles). I like Edi better without it anyway. I don't use the case anymore either. 10
Nexus 7 General Discussion / Re: How's your Nexus 7 Experience ???« on: December 30, 2012, 02:38:12 AM »
I love Edi. I've had this sexy 16Gb N7 for a couple of weeks and she's already completely replaced my computer. I take her everywhere and get envious glances from everyone around me.
Best. Purchase. Ever. 11
Nexus 7 General Discussion / Re: New Nexus 7, 32GB owner. I am having very bad battery life.. Details inside.« on: December 30, 2012, 02:27:09 AM »
I've found by 16Gb N7's battery lasts all day but takes all night to charge. Has anyone else noticed this? I can squeeze a whole day out of Edi's battery but she charges soooo slowly...
Apparently the iPad 3 is exactly the same in this regard. *shrug* 12

Nit necessarily related to the N7, just whatever you feel like sharing.
I'll start. There aren't many tablet owners in my area and I secretly love the envious looks I get when I pull my N7 out in public. 13
Nexus 7 Apps / Re: Ultimate Google Nexus 7 App??« on: December 24, 2012, 02:28:22 AM »
I love Drippler. I have it on my N7 and my Gnote. I really like how it's updated daily and I can choose between popular or latest articles first.

As an Australian, the only TV ads I've ever seen relating to tablets are for the Microsoft Surface (Best. Ad. Ever.) And the iPad Mini.
Would like to see what Google did though. To YouTube!!
