Here's that Gizmodo article, although the author has a nexus with 3g My usage will be similar to his. I have GrooveIP and Google Voice installed already. I'm planning on porting my number as my Nexus will be my "phone". Is there anything keeping me from Using only Google Voice?

A recent article on Gizmodo on this subject has convinced me to switch from my aging LG G2x on my off contract T-mobile plan to my Nexus 7 32gb wifi using a Hotspot on Virgin Mobile/Sprint. I was wondering what the best way of setting up Google Voice on my nexus is. Should I port my T-mo number to Google Voice?
